MD Truck Technical Support – Information You Will Need: You will need access to your PC and diagnostic interface cable (NAV-Link or IC4COM) when contacting support. Because the diagnostic interface cables receive their power from the vehicle's battery, a vehicle with a fully charged battery is also necessary.
Please be sure to have the following information ready:
- MD Truck Versions — If you are calling about a specific diagnostic application (ex. – NETS) you can find the version number by starting the application and then selecting Help and About from the Toolbar menu.
a. IDS Software Release (On System Information subtab) b. Diagnostic Interface cable – NAV-Link or IC4COM
- PC Make and Model
- PC operating system and Service Pack level
- Any application error codes or error messages.
- Vehicle Type and Model Year — for vehicle specific problems
