"Read VIN & DTCs" Help

For issues with PTS recognizing the VCM/VCM II:

  • PTS requires specific Internet Explorer settings. Refer to the following document for details: PTS Requirements

Before "Read VIN & DTCs" can communicate with the VCM:

  • VCM cable must be connected to both the PC and the OBD connector. Verify the cabling is as shown below.


  • VCM must be ready (The 'Read VIN & DTCs' button will be green with a red VCM symbol when ready).    Note: It can take up to 45 seconds for the VCM to boot and be recognized..
