How to make WDS datalogger recordings and manage vehicle sessions/recordings.

 

  1. Enter Datalogger
  2. Select PIDS.
  3. Select "Menu"

  1. Select "Capture Setup"
  2. Set length of recording and pre/post trigger as necessary.
  3. When event is occurring, select "Capture."

  1. After sufficient events are captured, select "Playback Viewer."

  1. Select "Menu"

  1. Select "Save Recording Group."
  2. Specify filename and description.
  3. When prompted, highlight each recording you would like to attach to session.
  4. Select "Close Session."

  1. Select "Hold (Saves Recordings)."
  2. WDS will exit to home screen.
  3. Verify WDS is docked.
  4. Select "Previous Sessions."
  5. Highlight VIN you made recordings of.

 

Note: To upload the session to the Hotline network continue to step 18. For saving recordings/vehicle session to disk skip to step 20.

 

 

  1. Press "Upload Session."

Please note: this icon only appears on Fordstar/ISP LAN activated WDS units.

 

  1. Length of time required for upload varies based on amount of data captured with recording.

 

  1. To save recordings / vehicle session to disk select the "Archive Session"

 

 

21.Inset 3.5" floppy disk into drive in docking station as directed.

 

Either of these vehicle session management methods will save Datalogger recordings and vehicle session log files, provided they have been saved in the vehicle session.
